  PAVILION H

The redevelopment of Pavilion H aims at reinvigorating an architectural landmark. Located in Herastrau Park it holds a prime position to attract a variety of patrons. The proposed program of hotel, conference center, and spa, with restaurants and shops takes a broad approach to bringing in as many people as possible.

The hotel and conference center anchor the new Pavilion H, creating a complimentary gathering area for the Expo Center that is nearby. The hotel extends up through three floors of rooms and takes advantage of views of the park and lake. The conference center features two auditoriums and multiple smaller conference rooms. These are arranged around a large interior atrium, which highlights the structure's historic architecture.

The main aesthetic focus is the atrium. It is designed to take advantage of the large interior space of the pavilion. Bridges that span the atrium at hotel levels create an active atmosphere that brings the space to life. At the top level the spa, gym and a cafe bring people up underneath the roof, which is the historic pavilion's most attractive feature. Pavilion H's location and history are revitalized by a design that is dynamic and contemporary, bringing the space into the new century.
